Guidance and counselling

There are a number of issues that require your attention as a parent, we therefore request that you solve them with your daughters before they come back to school.  This will help boost their self esteem and give them confidence to face life challenges.

School Uniform

  • It is the tradition of the school that all students should be in their uniform at all times. Ensure that no other clothing comes to school as it will be confiscated and will not be given back.  Adhere to the design, length and colour of uniform.
  • Those who have not labelled their uniform should do so to make it easy to trace if misplaced.
  • E uniform is mandatory during lessons and games, those who have misplaced their track suits should replace.

School fees

  • It is your parental obligation to pay school fees.
  • We appreciate those who have supported the school by clearing their dues.
  • We encourage you to pay on time to enable us run the school smoothly.
  • As agreed during the AGM fees should be cleared on or before the opening day.

Dormitory Project

  • We greatly appreciate those of you who turned up for our first luncheon and fun day event in the school to raise funds towards our dormitory project.
  • The collection through the harambee cards is still open as we gear towards the main harambee. The date will be communicated later, meanwhile let us continue honouring our pledges.
  • We still have to pay for the completed structure and as agreed during the A.G.M we need to relieve the library and computer laboratory. This can only be possible if we get another dormitory.  We are counting on your support for this.

Medical Care

  • We wish to once again remind you to address any dental, optical or chronic conditions to avoid students missing lessons as they go out for treatment.
  • Also remember any medical appointments should be made between Monday and Thursday. No student will be allowed out from Friday – Sunday unless on emergency.
  • The school has an arrangement with a medical facility where students are seen by a doctor. The Board of Management is also in the process of getting a school nurse.

Career/Motivational talks

  • We have had a few of these given this term. We are requesting the parents in various professions and are willing to talk to the girls to register with their class teacher.
  • We intend to hold more of the talks next term.
  • We appreciate those who have expressed interest to walk with the girls in this path.
  • You are kindly required to facilitate and assist your daughter/ward in discovering different types of careers in the job market. This can be achieved through job shadowing, information from magazines, internet services, visiting universities/colleges and consultancies among others.  Ensure your daughter/ward is involved in the process because she is a direct beneficiary hence working towards desired goals.

Co-curriculum activities

  • Girls have participated in ball games i.e. basketball, volleyball and football and reached the regional level.
  • Science and Engineering fair
  • Music festival and Kenahica will be taking place in 2nd term 2017.

Finally we wish you all the best as you stay with your daughter/ward.

May God bless you.

Yours faithfully

Mrs. J. K. Kiruja
